Sidney Tate

Sidney Tate has a diverse work experience, starting in 2010 as an Employee at Supersonic Carwash. In 2015, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at Utah State University, grading coursework and collaborating on course material. They also held multiple roles at Utah State University, including Calculus Textbook Writer, Mathematics Research Assistant, and Recitation Leader, where they taught college algebra classes and assisted students with understanding mathematical concepts.

In 2016, Sidney interned as a Research Intern at KLAS, networking with healthcare professionals and gaining knowledge of the healthcare IT industry. They also worked as an Actuary Intern at Pacific Life, focusing on product design and completing projects related to insurance.

From 2017 to 2018, Sidney held positions as an Undergraduate Research Fellow at the Center for Growth and Opportunity at Utah State University, performing economic research on public policy issues, and as a Graduate Student in Economics at the University of California San Diego.

Currently, Sidney is working towards their Doctor of Philosophy degree in Economics at UC San Diego, which they began in 2018 and are expected to complete in 2023.
