Tom focuses his practice on complex civil litigation with an emphasis on commercial disputes, corporate and fiduciary litigation, bankruptcy-related litigation and tort litigation. He has participated in high-stakes litigation proceedings and trials on matters involving corporate reorganizations, disputes over broken business deals and various types of tort litigation. He has successfully argued in federal and state courts, conducted Daubert hearings, presented and cross-examined corporate and expert witnesses in various disciplines, and negotiated settlements in business-to-business disputes, consumer-to-business disputes, as well as in multidistrict litigation (MDL proceedings) and serial litigation. The life sciences, healthcare, construction, engineering, insurance and technology industries have been of particular focus to his practice.

Tom also works with businesses in the creation and enforcement of compliance programs, due diligence related to potential acquisitions, contracting, warranty and labeling counseling, and internal investigations and responses to subpoenas, site audits and investigations by various federal and state government agencies. He has appeared in both state and federal courts throughout the country representing plaintiffs and defendants ranging from multinational corporations to state attorneys general to individuals. Tom helps clients navigate the intricate web of legal rules by identifying risks and opportunities, assigning value to them and developing practical solutions.

Prior to joining the firm, Tom was a partner at a national litigation practice where he focused on complex civil litigation. He also previously spent time with an international AmLaw 100 firm serving as national and regional Mid-Atlantic counsel, with substantial experience spanning the litigation spectrum, as well as corporate counseling. As a law clerk to the Honorable Judge Eduardo C. Robreno of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, he was actively involved in the administration of matters under both federal and state law.
