Marlon Runnels

Marlon Runnels currently serves as the Chief of Police for Klein ISD, overseeing the strategic and operational priorities of the Klein ISD Police Department to ensure a safe learning environment for over 54,000 students and 7,000 employees. Previously, Marlon held positions including Assistant Chief of Police at Klein ISD Police, Chief of Police at Montgomery ISD Police Department, and Sergeant and Police Officer at Klein ISD Police Department. Marlon's law enforcement career began in the United States Marine Corps as a Corporal and included roles as Deputy at Galveston County Sheriff's Office and Jailor at Harris County Sheriff's Office. Marlon holds a Master's degree in Executive Masters in Administration of Justice and a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration from Texas Southern University, along with multiple associate degrees in related fields.
