Russ serves as a strategist, coach, and mentor for technical professionals while developing a client-facing culture of growth at Kleinschmidt. He is a civil engineer by education and business leader by choice. He has been with Kleinschmidt for 10+ years and has more than 27 years of experience with professional service firms.
Russ provides overarching strategy, leadership, and management of the firm’s marketing, business development, and proposal efforts. He supervises and mentors’ Business Sector and Client Leaders and played a key role in the firm’s initial leadership development program.
The Federal Energy Regulation Committee (FERC) recently approved Russ as a Team Leader/Senior Auditor for an Owners Dam Safety Program (ODSP) Audit due to his experience with understanding organizational management, communication, and leadership principals for complex organizations. He participated on a team that completed an ODSP Audit for a hydroelectric owner with a portfolio of 65 hydroelectric dams in 14 states.
Russ obtained a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin. He is an active member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) and served as a fellow.
