Ian Cruz is a seasoned professional in digital marketing and community engagement, currently serving as the Digital Marketing Manager and Community Engagement & Media Manager at KLRN since November 2020. Prior experience includes roles at the City of San Antonio as a Senior International Relations Specialist, where Ian contributed to enhancing global ties through cultural and economic exchanges. Previously, Ian held positions at The Center for Health Care Services and participated in the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program(me) (JET) as an Assistant Language Teacher, fostering cultural exchange and education. Ian began a career in customer service at Frost Bank, ensuring excellent client interactions. Ian holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies from The University of Texas at San Antonio.

The mission of KLRN is to open a world of lifelong learning through trustworthy and enriching programs on-air, online and in the community. KLRN is PBS. No one else does what we do. We get children ready to learn and we bring adults on journeys of exploration and adventure through our programs, events and resources. We strive daily to maintain our status as a quality local resource that provides news and information that our community needs to know about.
