Lisa Shorey

Lisa Shorey has extensive experience in the field of human resources. Lisa began their career as the Director of Human Resources at PenBay Technology Group in 2015. Lisa then moved on to work as an HR Consultant at KMA Human Resources Consulting starting in 2017. Prior to these roles, Lisa worked at Care & Comfort as a Human Resources Generalist, where they provided professional HR services on a contracted basis and served as Interim HR Manager. Lisa also has experience as an HR Business Partner at Maine Medical Center, a Labor Relations Coordinator at the University of Maine System, and a Human Resources Manager at Tex Tech Industries. Lisa has also served as a board member at the United Way of Kennebec Valley. Lisa began their career in the Augusta School Department as the Director of Human Resources and held that position for nine years.

Lisa Shorey attended Cony High School from 1978 to 1982, where they did not earn a degree or specify a field of study. Lisa then pursued further education at Thomas College, where they obtained an MBA degree, though the exact dates are unknown. After that, Lisa attended the University of Maine-Augusta, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting.

Additionally, Lisa Shorey has obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 2006, they became certified as an SPHR by the HR Certification Institute - HRCI. In 2010, Lisa became a Certified Facilitator through Development Dimensions International. Lastly, in April 2015, they obtained the SHRM-SCP certification from SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management).
