Michael Ansley

Michael Ansley has extensive experience in the military and in defense-related industries. Michael worked as Vice President of Operations and Director of National Capital and Mid-Atlantic Regions for KMS Solutions, LLC. Michael also worked in the Naval Ordnance Test Unit as the Site Manager SWS Ashore - Assistant Weapons Officer for five years, where they were responsible for supervising daily coordination of activities, direct liaison between the Naval Ordnance Test Unit Chief Engineer, Strategic Systems Program, and contractors, coordination and resolution of issues as they occurred on the site, and development of operational procedures for the facility. Michael was previously in the US Navy, where they worked as Site Manager SWS Ashore for five years supervising the construction of a 500 million-dollar Navy research and development facility and as a System Engineer for two months at Complex 25 on Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. Michael was a Program Manager for Alion Science and Technology for two years, where they managed a team of contractors providing direct support to Commander, Operational Test and Evaluation Force (COTF) on all aspects of the testing and evaluation of ARCI Sonar, VIRGINIA, and OHIO Replacement submarine classes. Michael was also Director Special Operations for Commander Submarine Forces Atlantic for four years, where they coordinated with Combatant and Task Force Commanders to ensure that the Atlantic Fleets 21 SSNs and 2 SSGNs were properly manned, trained, and equipped for extended deployments. Michael worked as USS LOUISVILLE's Executive Officer for two years, coordinating daily operations to ensure the $3 billion-dollar ship met all operational and administrative requirements. Michael also worked as Department Head - Squadron Weapons Officer for Submarine Squadron NINETEEN, where they mentored the squadrons ten assigned submarines crews in the training, operation, and maintenance of information, strategic, and tactical weapons systems and as Department Head - Weapons Officer for USS ALASKA, where they led the 60 man weapons department in the efficient operation of the ship’s strategic and tactical weapons systems. Michael also worked as Department Head - Operations for Operational Test Support Unit TWO, where they led the 20 man operations department in the efficient operation of the ship’s information, telemetry, and data collection systems, and coordinated with the Air Force to conduct 20 Trident test missile launches in support of START treaty requirements.

Michael Ansley earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Washington in 1994 and a Master of Science in Management Information Systems from the University of Central Florida from 2000 to 2002. Michael has also obtained certifications in DAWIA Test and Evaluation Level 3, DAWIA Test and Evaluation Level 2, DAWIA Program Management Level 1, and DAWIA Test and Evaluation Level 1 from the Defense Acquisition University.
