Ian Withey

Ian Withey has over two decades of experience in the engineering and maintenance sectors, with a distinguished career at Knauf Insulation since 2001. Currently serving as the Head of Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) in Knauf Insulation Engineering, Ian oversees technical management in electrical, controls systems, and instrumentation. Previously, Ian held positions including Central Maintenance Best Practice Manager for Europe, CIS, and Asia, Maintenance Manager at the St Helens manufacturing plant, and Electrical Project Manager, where significant projects were successfully implemented across multiple locations. Earlier career roles were with Federal-Mogul Motorparts as a Senior Electrical Engineer, Cross Huller as a Commissioning Engineer, and Champion Spark Plugs Ltd as an Electrical Engineer. Ian holds a Master's degree in Microelectronic Systems and Telecommunications from the University of Liverpool and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Liverpool John Moores University.
