Marileen Dogterom

Marileen Dogterom has held significant academic and leadership positions, currently serving as President, Board Member, and Vice President for Foreign Affairs at KNAW - Koninklijke Nederlandse Akademie van Wetenschappen since September 2016. Concurrently, Marileen is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Bionanoscience at TU Delft and has served as Interim Dean at the Faculty of Applied Sciences. At Leiden University, Marileen has been a Professor of Physics since 2000. Previously, Marileen was a Scientific Group Leader at AMOLF from 1997 to 2013 and worked as a Postdoctoral researcher at Bell Laboratories. Marileen began a career in research as a Research Associate and PhD student at Princeton University from 1992 to 1994, following a PhD at Paris-Sud University. Marileen's academic foundation includes a Master of Science in Theoretical Physics from the University of Groningen.
