Ian Palmer

Ian Palmer is a seasoned procurement professional with extensive experience in supply chain management and purchasing, currently serving as Head of Procurement at KNDS UK since September 2025. Prior to this role, Ian held the position of Global Supply Chain Manager at Wayve from December 2023 to September 2025 and demonstrated significant leadership as Senior Purchasing Manager at JCB from April 2015 to November 2023, overseeing purchasing activities across multiple divisions. Ian's career at JCB included various managerial roles where strategic leadership and problem-solving skills were applied to ensure operational continuity, implement dual source category strategies, and drive significant volume growth. Earlier experiences at TRAC Precision Engineering and Rolls-Royce provided a solid foundation in program management and new product introduction. Ian holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of the West of England.
