Erik Gerritsen

Erik Gerritsen is the Algemeen Directeur and CEO of the Koninklijke Nederlandse Hockeybond (KNHB) since September 2014, overseeing initiatives to enhance the hockey sport in collaboration with a team of 65 colleagues and numerous volunteers. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Advisor Sport at BMC, Board Member at Amsterdam Hockeyclub (AH&BC), Independent Consultant in the sports industry and public sector, Senior Manager Consulting at Deloitte Netherlands, and various consulting positions in Russia and Ethiopia. Erik Gerritsen has a strong foundation in sports management, having played in the premier league, managed the Netherlands Under-21 national team, and held managerial positions in higher education programs. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Business Economics from the University of Amsterdam and a Master of Science in Financial Decision Analysis from the University of Portsmouth.
