Matt Eyles is an experienced strength and conditioning professional with a robust history in high-performance sports. Currently serving as the Head Trainer for Strength & Conditioning at KNHB since July 2021, Matt previously held the position of Strength and Conditioning Coach for the national women's field hockey team at NOC*NSF from July 2017 to July 2021, overseeing programming and wellness. Prior experience includes serving as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the senior men's national team at Hockey India, where responsibilities encompassed comprehensive training leading up to the 2016 Rio Olympics. Additional roles include Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles and a sports analyst at the Sydney Academy of Sport. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in High Performance Sport from Australian Catholic University and a Bachelor's degree in Human Movement, as well as a Bachelor of Education from the University of Technology Sydney.

De Koninklijke Nederlandse Hockey Bond (KNHB) is een professionele sportbond. De KNHB voert een proactief beleid om tegemoet te komen aan alle hockeywensen en -behoeften van haar leden, verenigingen en stakeholders. Meer dan 60 medewerkers zijn werkzaam op het bureau en verlenen ondersteuning aan het bondsbestuur, de zes districten en de 325 hockeyverenigingen met ruim 265.000 leden. Gezamenlijk zetten de medewerkers zich in voor een kwalitatief goed hockeyaanbod. De KNHB is samen met vier andere sportbonden en diverse sportorganisaties gevestigd in DeWeerelt (van Sport) te Utrecht.
