KXR Ground Support Equipment Manager at Knights Experimental Rocketry

Andres Sarmiento serves as the Ground Support Equipment Manager at Knights Experimental Rocketry, a position held since January 2023, where responsibilities include organizing ground support equipment for various rocket engines and programming microcontrollers for data retrieval and ground control systems. Previously, as the Payloads Manager for the KXR FAR-Dollar Per Foot Liquid Biprop project, Sarmiento managed the development of redundant flight computer boards and implemented secure recovery systems. Earlier experience includes work on avionics and experimental payloads for the KXR FAR-51025 project, where Sarmiento developed a data acquisition printed circuit board. Andres Sarmiento is pursuing an Engineer's degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering at the University of Central Florida, expected to graduate in May 2025.
