Nikunj Lad

Nikunj Lad has been working in the field of Machine Learning and Computer Vision since 2013. Nikunj began their career as the Joint Technical Head (International Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering) at KJ Somaiya College of Engineering, Vidyavihar in 2013. In 2016, they took on an internship and Junior Research Assistant role at Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI) where they worked on analyzing the vibrations of Wind Turbine motors using Machine Learning algorithms. In 2017, they became a Software Engineer at InVideo, where they automated video production using Python and OpenCV. Nikunj then joined UII America, Inc. as a Computer Vision Research Intern in 2019, where they worked on dense pose estimation with mesh analysis for real-time identification of patients during medical examinations. Later that same year, Nikunj Lad joined Northeastern University College of Engineering as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, Graduate Research Assistant, and Research Advisor for the AI Skunkworks. In 2020, they moved to Squark as a Machine Learning Engineer, and in 2021 they joined Knightscope as a Machine Learning Engineer.

Nikunj Lad's education history includes a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Electronics and Telecommunication from KJ Somaiya College of Engineering, Vidyavihar from 2012 to 2016, and a Master of Science (MS) in Information Systems from Northeastern University from 2018 to 2020. Nikunj also holds several certifications, including a Master of Science from Northeastern University obtained in August 2020, a Machine Learning certification from Stanford University obtained in June 2017, a Using Databases with Python certification from the University of Michigan obtained in July 2016, a Using Python to Access Web Data certification from the University of Michigan obtained in July 2016, a Programming for Everybody (Getting Started with Python) certification from the University of Michigan obtained in June 2016, a Python Data Structures certification from the University of Michigan obtained in June 2016, an Embedded System Design and Programming certification from ARM obtained in July 2015, a Summer Industrial Training in Embedded Systems certification from Eduvance obtained in June 2015, and a Raspberry Pi Programming with Python certification from Eduvance obtained in January 2015.
