Rui Yao is an accomplished architect with a diverse professional background in architectural design and urban planning. Current engagement as an Architect and Design Associate at Knit | Designing Community began in May 2019, following experience as an Urban Design Intern at AECOM, where contributions included design, modeling, and rendering for the Xiangyang industrial town project. Rui Yao's earlier roles included internships at prominent firms such as China Architecture Design & Research Group, where involvement spanned several projects, and the Beijing Urban Construction Design Institute, focusing on the Wendeng Vocational School Project. Academic credentials include a Master of Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis and a Bachelor of Architecture from Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture.
