Alessia Giorgis

Alessia Giorgis, PhD, is a regulatory ecotoxicologist currently employed at knoell since June 2025, specializing in assessing regulatory requirements for personal care products, pesticides, and biocides. Prior roles include serving as an ecotoxicology specialist at Croda, where responsibilities involved conducting risk assessments for product launches, and as an environmental safety scientist at Unilever, focusing on environmental risk assessments and advancing non-animal methodologies. Academic background includes a PhD from the University of York, where research investigated the fate of pharmaceuticals in sediment-dwelling invertebrates, along with experiences as an Erasmus+ placement at the University of Gothenburg and various positions as a teaching assistant and laboratory biologist.
