Balaji Subbaraman

Balaji Subbaraman has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Balaji currently works as the Director, Country Head at Knoema since December 2020. In this position, they lead a team of 50+ data engineers and economic analysts, delivering data solutions, providing advisory and consulting services, and managing India office operations. Additionally, Balaji also serves as the Director of Data Operations, playing a crucial role in driving data strategy and execution, collaborating with various teams to provide enterprise data solutions and winning multi-million dollar deals.

Before joining Knoema, Balaji worked at Infosys as a Senior Technical Architect from October 2008 to November 2010. Balaji led the performance architect team in a large U.S. Automobile Finance portal. Prior to this, Balaji worked at Ford as a Solution Architect from August 2006 to July 2008. Balaji'sresponsibilities included architecting, designing, and delivering multiple web content management projects using Oracle Webcenter sites.

Balaji's earlier experience includes working as a Consultant at Satyam Computer Services Limited from 2000 to 2006. In this role, they architect-ed and built high availability/scalable web content management solutions for the New York Stock Exchange using Oracle Webcenter sites. Balaji also managed and delivered several content management solutions with an onsite-offshore model project execution.

Balaji started their career at Chellla Software Private Limited as a Senior Software Engineer from June 1999 to August 2000 and at Greycells Software as a Software Engineer from April 1998 to May 1999.

Balaji Subbaraman obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from an undisclosed school between the years 1994 and 1998.
