Alex Bannon

Alex Bannon is a seasoned engineering manager with extensive experience in artificial intelligence and machine learning. Currently serving as a Senior Engineering Manager at Personio and a Board Member at Knology, Alex contributes to technology and development committees for a non-profit mission. Previous roles include Vertical Tech Lead at Spotify, where Alex oversaw content management across various squads, and Senior Engineering Manager at Zip Co, leading the Payments Engineering Department with a focus on diversity and inclusion in hiring practices. Alex has held senior leadership positions at Kaplan, co-founded Blackbook as CTO, and worked on multiple software engineering projects. Alex holds a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and a Bachelor's degree in Film and Television from Boston University, along with a Master's degree in Computer Science from Hunter College.
