Michael Sobotta

Michael Sobotta is an experienced Product Manager with a focus on railway and maintenance technologies. Currently serving at Knorr-Bremse since July 2019, Sobotta manages brake and extended services. Prior roles include Manager of Service for Northern Europe at DMA | Accurate & Reliable and Business Line Manager for Equipment EMEA at Harsco Rail, where Sobotta oversaw the maintenance vehicle portfolio and led refurbishment projects. Earlier experience also includes work as a Product & Project Manager at Harsco Rail and as a Technical Support Engineer at Deutsche Plasser Bahnbaumaschinen GmbH, specializing in railway construction machinery. Sobotta holds a Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Fahrzeugtechnik from Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences, obtained in 2010.
