Paras Nigam

Paras Nigam is an experienced professional with a diverse background in data science, engineering, and cybersecurity. Paras is currently the Vice President of Data Science & Engineering at KnowBe4, where they are responsible for building the company's presence in India and developing data science and engineering capabilities. Previously, they served as the Senior Director of Data Science & Engineering at KnowBe4, where they led the development of the world's first HDR platform for human detection and response.

Before joining KnowBe4, Paras worked as the Director of Data Science at SecurityAdvisor, where they headed the global data strategy and led the development of an AI/ML-powered Teachable moment product. Paras also held roles at Forcepoint as a Data Science Leader and Senior Principal Data Scientist, where they led teams in India, Singapore, and South Korea and developed behavioral security programs and solutions for customers.

Paras has also worked at upGrad as an Evangelist, McAfee as a Lead Data Scientist and Senior Data Scientist, and Intel Corporation as a Data Scientist, where they filed multiple patents and solved problems using machine learning techniques. Paras began their career as a Software Engineer at Manhattan Associates and later founded their own companies, GyanyBaba and Smart Dust Technology, focusing on EdTech and web solutions, respectively.

Paras Nigam completed a course in Big Data and Social Analytics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2016. Paras also holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a specialization in Marketing from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, completed between 2014 and 2015. In addition, Paras has a FPGDST degree in Computer Science from CDAC and a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Computer Science from Maharana Pratap Engineering College. Paras completed their 12th-grade education in Science from Modern School and their 10th-grade education in Science from VSEC. Paras has obtained several additional certifications, including ones related to AWS Cloud, project management, Docker and Kubernetes, software product management, cybersecurity, and data science.
