Perry Carpenter

Perry Carpenter is the Chief Evangelist & Strategy Officer at KnowBe4. Perry was previously the Research Director, Security & Risk Management at Gartner from March 2014 to March 2017. In this role, they were responsible for the coverage of information security technologies and markets, security program execution, identity and access management, the Internet of Things, security training technologies, disruptive innovation, product management for security technologies, CISO perspectives on purchasing, and the psychology of risk and security.

Prior to joining Gartner, Perry Carpenter worked at The CyberWire as a business reporter covering the cybersecurity industry. Perry has also written for Forbes Business Council and the National Cyber Security Alliance.

Perry Carpenter's educational career includes earning a Master's in Information Assurance from Norwich University, a Bachelor's in Philosophy, Biblical Studies, and Languages from Ouachita Baptist University, and various certifications in information security.
