Michelle van Beusekom

Michelle van Beusekom is the President + CEO of Knowledge Network Corporation, British Columbia's public broadcaster and streaming service, where they lead strategic direction and management. With 25+ years of experience in public and private sector media companies across traditional and digital platforms, they have held roles at CBC, NFB, DOC, Uvagut TV, and Knowledge Network, among others. They previously served as Executive Director of the Documentary Organization of Canada (2020–2021) and as Senior Advisor to Uvagut TV during its launch, building foundations for operational sustainability and regulatory strategy. They hold a Master's degree in Social and Political Thought from York University, a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Toronto, and a certificate in Spanish language, Cuban history, culture and literature from the University of Cienfuegos.
