John DeBernardis has an extensive work history spanning over several decades, with experience in various roles within the technology industry. John began their career as an SE at Caddy in 1987 and then joined ADRA as a Sales Engineer, where they worked until 1997. From 1997 to 2001, they served as a Pre Sales Engineer at Alventive, Inc.
In 2001, DeBernardis transitioned to Captiva Software, initially working as a Sr. Sales Engineer before being promoted to Staff Systems Engineer. John remained with Captiva Software until 2008, during which time they assumed various roles, including Director of Systems Engineering.
Following their tenure at Captiva Software, DeBernardis joined EMC in 2006 as a Staff Systems Engineer, specializing in Document Capture with the Captiva line of products. John led a team of field sales engineers and played a pivotal role in executing C-level presentations for large potential customers in the US and Brazil.
DeBernardis joined KnowledgeLake in 2008 as Director of Systems Engineering, where they managed and led all Systems Engineers (Pre Sales) across the country. John provided performance management, development planning, and technical training to staff members. John also planned, organized, and directed the activities of various corporate and non-sales support groups to meet customer needs.
In 2015, DeBernardis moved to Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc. as Director of Systems Engineering and Professional Services. In this role, they oversaw pre-sales systems/applications engineering activities, optimizing sales volume and ensuring successful application through engineering services.
DeBernardis returned to KnowledgeLake in 2017, serving as a Senior Sales Engineer. John played a crucial role in revolutionizing CPQ with interactive 3D, deeply integrating it with KBMax CPQ. Presently, they hold the position of Director of Systems Engineering at KnowledgeLake, a role they assumed in 2019.
John DeBernardis received their Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and Technology from Western Illinois University, which they attended from 1984 to 1987. Prior to that, they acquired an Associate degree in Electronics Technology from Illinois Central College, where they studied from 1982 to 1984.
In addition to their formal education, John DeBernardis has obtained several certifications. In 2007, they achieved the ECMp certification. John obtained the CDIA+ certification in 2005. Furthermore, they hold a Private Pilots License, which they acquired from the Federal Aviation Administration in November 1997.
