Shane Foster

Shane Foster’s journey to Barstow as President & Head of School began in 1983, when he received his Bachelor of Education from the University of Tasmania in Australia, then a Master of Education in 1992 from the University of Wisconsin and a Master of Science from Concordia University in 1998. Mr. Foster began his teaching career in 1985 as a physical education and primary school teacher at Sacred Heart School in Tasmania. Foster has served on a number of boards related to education including the Tasmanian State Board of Education and Independent School boards. Since arriving at the Barstow School, Foster has created and implemented global education programs, founded the Hybrid Learning Consortium, and created partnership schools around the world.
