Knowles Teacher Initiative
Camden Hanzlick-Burton is an experienced education professional with a strong background in learner-centered experiences, professional development, and curriculum design. Currently serving as the Director of Learner Centered Experiences at Digital Promise since March 2021, Camden has also held roles such as Associate Director of Onboarding and Coaching and Senior Manager of Professional Learning. At the Knowles Teacher Initiative, Camden successfully secured a $20,000 Seed Grant to enhance culturally competent practices in STEM education while serving as a Knowles Academy Instructor. As the Lead Curriculum Developer at Backyard Brains, Camden focuses on developing innovative neuroscience curricula and facilitating teacher professional development. Previous experience includes managing mentoring programs at Summit Public Schools and teaching various science subjects at Olathe School District and Blue Valley School District. Camden holds a Master of Science in Biological Sciences from Mississippi State University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The University of Kansas.
