Knowles Teacher Initiative
Gina Wilson, PhD, NBCT, is a dedicated educational professional with extensive experience in teacher development and instructional coaching. Currently serving as a Program Officer for Teacher Development at the Knowles Teacher Initiative since May 2022 and as an Educational Coach at Opportunity Thrive since October 2021, Gina has a rich background in mathematics education. From August 2008 to May 2022, Gina worked as a Math Instructor and CORE Advisor at the Early College Alliance at Eastern Michigan University and previously taught 6th Grade Math at Greenhills School from September 2005 to June 2008. Gina holds a PhD in Education Leadership from Eastern Michigan University, awarded in December 2021, as well as a Post-Baccalaureate Teaching Certificate in Secondary Mathematics Education and Science. Additionally, Gina earned a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.
