Lekha Tantry

Lekha Tantry is an accomplished educator with extensive experience in mathematics instruction and educational leadership. Currently serving as a Desmos Fellow since May 2023 and as a Knowles Teaching Fellow and Mathematics Teacher at Capital City Public Charter School since August 2021, Lekha has developed engaging lesson plans and culturally responsive teaching methods. Previous roles include Mathematics Teacher at Montgomery County Public Schools, where leadership in Algebra II classes was demonstrated, and various positions that fostered educational pursuits, such as Co-President of Kappa Delta Pi at the University of Maryland, Education Specialist Intern at Children's National Health System, and Campus Ambassador for Teach For America. Lekha holds a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction and a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Math Education from the University of Maryland.
