Melissa Kagle

Melissa Kagle is a seasoned educator and researcher with extensive experience in teacher development and program evaluation. Currently serving as a Visiting Professor at SUNY Brockport since August 2023, Kagle also holds the position of Senior Research Associate at the Knowles Teacher Initiative, where a collaborative program evaluation aimed at improving educational impacts for teachers is developed. Past roles include Teacher Development Coach at Generation Ready, Assistant Professor of Education at Colgate University, and Visiting Professor at Dartmouth College, contributing substantially to teacher education and accreditation processes. With a solid foundation in curriculum development and culturally responsive teaching from earlier positions in the Juneau City School District and the University of Alaska Fairbanks, Kagle's educational credentials include a Doctor of Education in Administration, Planning, and Social Policy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, complemented by a Teacher Certification from Mills College.
