Knowsley Safari
Shannon Cornish has a strong background in animal care and zoology, currently serving as an Ungulate Keeper at Knowsley Safari since August 2023. Prior experience includes roles as a Giraffe and Hoofstock Keeper and an intern specializing in giraffes and hoofstock at Chester Zoo, as well as a Rhino and other hoofstock intern at the same institution. Volunteer experience as a Zoo Keeper at Reaseheath College complements a solid foundation in customer service from roles as Event Staff at The Halston and a Retail Assistant at Greggs. Shannon holds an MRes in Biology from the University of Chester and a BSc in Zoology from the University of Cumbria.

Knowsley Safari
For over 50 years, Knowsley Safari has been welcoming visitors as one of the North West's top tourist attractions. The learning & discovery team are dedicated to school services and deliver outreach programmes at schools around the North West. When schools visit the park the learning & discovery team also lead workshops for pupils and guided tours of the 550 acre, 5 mile safari drive. A recent addition to the itinerary for schools visiting the park is an enhanced discovery day. The pupils enjoy everything the park has to offer and some special activities that enhance their visit such as watching a meerkat feed, getting up close to the birds of prey and guided walks of the park.
