Lecturer In Music at Knox College

Stephen Jackson is an accomplished music educator and performer with extensive experience spanning over three decades. Currently, Stephen serves as a Music Instructor at Carl Sandburg College and a lecturer in Music at both Monmouth College and Knox College. Stephen has held various roles, including Jazz Band Director and private instructor for string bass, cello, and guitar. Additionally, Stephen performs as a double bassist for the Muscatine Symphony Orchestra and as a section cellist and bassist for the Knox-Galesburg Symphony. Stephen's academic background includes a Doctor of Musical Arts in Jazz Studies and a Master of Music in Musicology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Philosophy from Knox College.
