Chris Simons

Chris Simons, CPA, CCFO has a diverse work experience in the field of accounting and finance. Chris began their career at HCA as an Internal Auditor during their summer internships in 2011 and 2012. In 2013, they joined Pugh CPAs as a Senior Accountant, where they worked until 2016. During their time at Pugh CPAs, Chris gained valuable experience in financial analysis and reporting. In 2016, they transitioned to Knox County Schools, starting as an Accounting Supervisor and later promoted to the role of Director of Accounting in 2021. Chris's roles at Knox County Schools have focused on overseeing financial operations and implementing effective accounting practices. Overall, Chris Simons has demonstrated their expertise in accounting and management through their progressive roles and contributions to various organizations.

Chris Simons, CPA, CCFO completed a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Accounting from Tennessee Technological University in 2012. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting from the same university, graduating in 2011. Additionally, Chris holds the certification of Certified Public Accountant.
