Rachel Evans has extensive experience in educational leadership and professional development, currently serving as an Assistant Principal and Instructional Coach at Knox County Schools since July 2010. In these roles, Rachel leads Professional Learning Communities and Individual Learning Cycles, focusing on data analysis, lesson alignment to standards, and technology integration in a 1-to-1 learning environment. Additionally, Rachel designs and facilitates a variety of technology-enhanced professional development sessions. Previously, Rachel held the position of Professional Development Facilitator and was recognized as a Level 5 teacher by the state, receiving the APEX Bonus Award for Outstanding Teaching. Rachel's volunteer experience includes serving as the Assistant Director of Education and Training for the Junior League of Knoxville, where responsibilities included managing professional development for over 600 members. Rachel's educational background includes an Ed.S. in Instructional Leadership from Lincoln Memorial University, a Master of Science in Teacher Education, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
