Lori Major has extensive experience in the field of medical laboratory technology. Lori began their career at Mercy Centerville in 2000, where they worked as a Medical Laboratory Technician until 2003. Following this, they joined Boys Town National Research Hospital as a Medical Technologist from 2003 to 2005. Lori then moved to Mercy West Clinic in 2005 and served as a Medical Technologist until 2008. In 2007, Lori started working at Knoxville Hospital and Clinics, initially as a Lab Coordinator until 2014, when they took on the role of Laboratory Manager, a position they still hold.
Lori Major earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree in Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology/Technologist from Des Moines Area Community College, where they studied from 1998 to 2000. Later, they pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Medical laboratory science and Organizational Leadership from the University of Iowa, from 2010 to 2012.
