Dave Miller is currently the Director at the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra. Prior to that, they were the Executive Vice President of Consumer Banking at First Tennessee Bank from September 1994 to December 2016. In that role, they led the transformation of the business into one of the company's most profitable, growing annual revenues to over $500 million and ROE to over 20%. Some of their accomplishments during their 5 year tenure include increasing revenue 23% and pre-tax income 406%, despite regulatory impacts on fees; expanding the balance sheet, with deposits up 33% and loans up 31%; improving the efficiency ratio 12.7%; increasing households 13%; reducing retail FTEs by nearly 300 while contracting the branch network 13% (including 12 branch acquisitions) without impacting customer value; improving customer service and loyalty, with JD Power scores rising 26 points and NPS (net promoter scores) up 21%; and upgrading digital capabilities, increasing mobile penetration 36% and online penetration 18%. Prior to their time at First Tennessee Bank, Dave Miller was the Security Division Administrator at Guardsmark from August 1992 to August 1994.
Dave Miller graduated from Harvard University with a degree in physical sciences and summa cum laude honors. Dave also attended the Nichols School.
