Adan Álvarez Vilchez

Adan Álvarez Vilchez has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity and system administration. Adan is currently working at Koa Health as a Principal Cybersecurity Engineer, where they play a crucial role in ensuring the security of the company's systems and networks. Prior to this, they worked at A2SECURE as a Lead Cyber Security Engineer - Pentester, where they managed projects related to penetration testing and AWS security. Adan also served as a Pentester - Security Consultant, conducting internal and external penetration testing and implementing security devices. Earlier in their career, Adan worked at VozTelecom as a Linux System Administrator, responsible for maintaining and improving the VoIP platform, and as a VoIP Technician, managing incidents and developing documentation.

Adan Álvarez Vilchez started their education in 2008 and completed it in 2017. From 2008 to 2010, they attended IES Sabadell, where they obtained a Higher Technician degree in Computer Network Systems Management. Following that, from 2011 to 2017, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.

In addition to their formal education, Adan Álvarez Vilchez also holds several certifications. In January 2018, they obtained the Qualys Vulnerability Management certification from Qualys. In February 2019, they received the Acunetix User Test certification from Acunetix. In August 2019, they achieved the Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) certification from Offensive Security. In July 2020, they obtained the AWS Certified Security – Specialty certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS). In September 2020, they completed the Foundations of Operationalizing MITRE ATT&CK certification from AttackIQ. Most recently, in December 2021, they acquired the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification, also from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
