Mariam Ekram

Mariam Ekram is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in mentorship, entrepreneurship, and community development. Currently, Mariam serves as a Mentor for the BizStart Entrepreneurship Program at Youth Employment Services and as the Founder and President of Koa Natural Foods, alongside leading the registered non-profit Woman Empowering Women, which supports women's wellness programs across Toronto. Previous roles include Assistant General Manager and Fitness Advisor at GoodLife Fitness, where sales achievements were notable, as well as communications and community development positions with Ontario Basketball and LetsStopAIDS. Additionally, Mariam has held significant roles in corporate hospitality and media relations, demonstrating strong capabilities in public relations, strategic communication, and customer service.
