Jacob Urup Nielsen is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in urban development and creative entrepreneurship. Currently serving as a Specialkonsulent for budget and economic management, as well as Strategikonsulent and Byudviklingskonsulent at Københavns Kommune, Jacob has demonstrated expertise in advising on strategy and city development since December 2013. As the Founder of Centre for Cities and Creativity, initiated in March 2012, Jacob explores the role of creativity in enhancing urban life. Additional roles include serving as an Advisor for Kulturiværk, a network focused on nurturing creative entrepreneurs, and a Board Member at Centre for Local Economic Strategies from February 2009 to May 2016. Jacob's previous positions with the British Council and Anglia Ruskin University further highlight a strong background in project management, partnerships, and international student recruitment. Currently pursuing a Master of Public Governance at Copenhagen Business School, Jacob holds a Master's degree in English from Aarhus University and is also engaged in a Diploma programme in Management and Leadership.
