Michel Schilling

Michel Schilling currently serves as the Executive Director at Københavns Kommune since June 2017. Prior experience includes roles as Deputy Director-General at Miljøstyrelsen, where responsibilities encompassed environmental affairs such as chemicals, soil contamination, and green procurement, from October 2010 to May 2017. Schilling was also Head of Division at By- og Landskabsstyrelsen, leading the law department, and held significant positions at Energistyrelsen focused on energy supply, and at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark as a Counsellor of Environment and Energy. Educational qualifications include a Cand. Jur. in Law from Aarhus University and a Diplôme d’Etudes Approfondies in European Law from the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne.
