Associate Data Scientist at KoBold Metals

Monique is a data scientist and passive source seismologist who uses modern computational methods to solve geophysical problems. She has previously worked on characterizing earthquakes induced by oil and gas activity. Her main research focuses distinguished between earthquakes and explosions for national security purposes.

Monique holds bachelor’s degrees in Geophysics and Applied Mathematics from Southern Methodist University. She earned her master’s degree in Geophysics at Southern Methodist University and her Ph.D. in Geophysics at the University of Utah. After her Ph.D. Monique was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Illinois Chicago.
