Emir Salih Magden

Emir Salih Magden is an accomplished academic and researcher in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Koç University since December 2017. Previously, Emir held the position of Research Assistant at the Research Laboratory of Electronics at MIT, where engagement was focused on integrated photonic devices and materials from September 2012 to November 2017. Emir's early career included roles as Head Tutor at Tufts University's Academic Resource Center and Research Assistant in Renewable Energy and Applied Photonics Labs, alongside internships at Karel Electronics in firmware development for communications networks and at Tekfen in Oracle systems and database management. Emir's educational background includes a PhD and a Master's degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science, as well as a Bachelor of Science from Tufts University, graduating summa cum laude.
