Chandrasekhar Tampi

Chandrasekhar Tampi is a Senior Partner in the Corporate Practice of the Firm. He is a member of the Firm’s Merger and Acquisition and Private Equity practice and has extensive experience in representing several domestic and international clients in private equity and M&A deals in India.

Chandra has advised clients in diverse sectors (manufacturing and services) including automobile, logistics, FMCG, power, non-conventional energy, petroleum, retail, hospitality, healthcare, financial services, real estate, IT-ITES, e-commerce, media & entertainment, telecom etc. on all aspects pertaining to joint ventures, foreign investments –inbound and outbound, mergers and acquisitions and private equity.

He has been closely involved in transactional matters including structuring, advising on entry strategies for foreign entities as start-ups, joint ventures, acquisitions, takeover of companies, corporate restructuring, conducting due diligences, advise on foreign equity participation and attendant regulatory issues, investment options and vehicles, compliances, regulatory approvals pertaining to investment, environmental, operational and employment etc. He has also participated in business strategy evolution and formulation process with clients, vis-à-vis their new ventures and business initiatives and has advised in establishing, operationalization and implementation of the business strategies of the clients.

Apart from the above, he is also routinely advising clients on complex and general corporate commercial issues, regulatory, compliance and corporate governance issues as well as drafting and vetting of contractual documentation.
