Indrani Lahiri

Indrani is a Partner in the Delhi office of the Firm having extensive experience in handling various facets of law. The Legal 500 recognized Indrani as a Recommended Lawyer for Labour & Employment in 2019 and as a Next Generation Lawyer from India for Labour & Employment in the year 2018. She is also the current Vice-Chair of “The Employment & Immigration Committee” of the Inter-Pacific Bar Association (IPBA).

Indrani has advised domestic and multinational clients on a myriad of general to complex employment law matters including redundancies, terminations, social security, employee benefits, inquiries for misconduct, disciplinary issues, complex senior level exits, trade unions, employment contracts, workplace sexual harassment, reductions in workforce, closures, employee transfers, human resource manuals, due diligences, pre and post-employment restrictions and covenants, work conditions, maternity benefits, disability etc. She is well known and regarded for conducting workshops, trainings and awareness programs on workplace sexual harassment and inclusiveness(laws on discrimination) in the workplace for various companies across industries.

Indrani is also a member of the Firm’s Telecom and Media Practice Desk and has advised various multinational clients on matters relating to media, broadcasting, telecom & technology including in procuring up-linking and down linking licenses for channels, obtaining Other Services Provider registrations, advising on pre-publication review & post publication issues, advertising, disparagement etc.

She has advised multinational clients on matters involving acquisition of companies, joint ventures including drafting and negotiation of documents concerning such matters. She has also been advising foreign investors on entry and exit strategies under the FDI policy of the Government of India and has hands on experience in handling matters concerning day to day business operations and ensuring legal compliance of multinational companies.

Her work also encompasses advising on matters relating to data protection in India.

Indrani is a regular speaker at various seminars and conferences held within and outside India.
