Meena Venugopal

Meena Venugopal is a partner in the Bangalore office of Kochhar & Co. Meena handles a variety of corporate, commercial and litigation matters for clients in Bangalore.

Meena graduated from BMS College of Law in 1992 with a degree in law. She had previously done a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Bangalore University.

Meena has been involved in assisting foreign companies in setting up their business operations in India, in representing clients in setting up and negotiating j oint ventures, and on general commercial law matters for clients. She has strong experience in doing due diligences and representing clients doing acquisitions in India. She has also handled large complex real estate transactions in South India. Another area of expertise is intellectual property, both in terms of prosecution of claims as well as handling intellectual property litigation.

Meena is an experienced litigator and has handled a wide array of litigations - writs, recovery suits, specific performance, injunctions, company petitions, petitions before the High Court and Company Law Board and personal matters, including matrimonial and probate cases. Meena has substantial responsibility for the litigation practice of the Bangalore office.
