Suhas Srinivasiah

Suhas is a Senior Partner in the Firm and a founding member of the Firm's Bangalore office. After graduating with a B.A., LL.B (Hons) degree from the prestigious National Law School of India University, Bangalore (NLSIU), he was called to the Bar in the year 1999.

Suhas does substantial work as part of the firm's Technology Law Practice. He represents some of the largest hardware and software companies in the world with regard to their operations in India. In particular, he has been responsible for assisting clients in setting up very large software development, R&D, engineering design, back office and BPO operations in India.

Suhas has strong experience in joint ventures, technical collaborations, mergers and acquisitions and strategic investments in the information technology, manufacturing, automobile and biotech industries. His work has included structuring, due diligence, advice on regulatory and anti-trust approvals, contract preparation and negotiations.

Suhas also handles large real estate projects of clients in the Bangalore office. In addition to Bangalore (and the State of Karnataka), Suhas has handled large real estate projects all over the country including in the cities of Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Coimbatore, etc. He also oversees a substantial portion of the complex commercial and criminal litigation in the office.

Suhas is an expert on advising clients on typical labour and employment law issues faced by R&D units, offshore centers and BPOs in India. His experience includes advising clients on employment and retaining strategies, preparation of sophisticated employment agreements and policies, advising on reduction in force (RIF) exercises, handling separation of senior management personnel, undertaking and advising clients on investigating violations of ethics and code of conduct guidelines, undertaking anti-bribery trainings, etc.

Suhas has been the India representative at the prestigious International Forum for Employment Law conducted by Cambridge Forum for the years 2017, 2018 and 2019. In 2019, Suhas was the sole India representative at this highly exclusive ‘invite-only’ event. He is an advance invitee for the 2020 event. Suhas is a co-author of the India Chapter of Global Legal Group’s Employment and Labour Law Guide, 6th Edition, 2018.

Suhas has spoken at various conferences around the world and co-authored several articles. He is listed as a recommended lawyer in leading legal publications such as Chambers & Partners, International Who's Who, etc.
