David Knowles

David Knowles has a strong background in philanthropy and social capital, with experience in various leadership roles. David is currently working as the Head of Philanthropy & Social Capital and Partner at Koda Capital since 2015. Prior to this, they served as the Director at Board Connect from 2013 to 2020.

Before that, David held multiple positions at JBWere, including Managing Director - Head of Philanthropy, Product & Marketing from 2013 to 2014, and Executive Director - Head Philanthropic Services from 2010 to 2013. At JBWere, they were responsible for running philanthropic services and leading the advisory team for non-profit and philanthropic clients. Additionally, they were a member of JBWere's Executive Leadership Team.

David's experience also includes working as the Head of Philanthropic Services at Perpetual Limited from 2006 to 2010, where they managed various foundations and established charitable foundations for private clients. David also served as a Senior Manager - Fiduciary Services at Perpetual Limited.

Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Trust Officer at Merrill Lynch Bank & Trust Company (Cayman) Limited from 1995 to 2001 and as a Relationship Manager at Coutts from 1989 to 1994.

David Knowles attended the Harvard Business School in 2013, where they studied Governing for Nonprofit Excellence in their Executive Education program. In addition, they also attended the Queen Elizabeth II School, although the specific dates and field of study are unknown.
