Merritt Jenkins has a diverse range of work experience in various fields. In 2011, they worked as a Structural Engineer for Sarvajal, where they designed a rooftop water tank support structure for a clean water vending system in India. From 2012 to 2015, they served as a Mechanical Engineer at QBotix, where they played a crucial role in redesigning the mechanical arms of a robotic system for solar tracking, resulting in cost reduction and improved reliability. During the same period, they also led a pico-hydro project in Rwanda as a Team Lead for Dartmouth Humanitarian Engineering, providing battery charging services to local families. In 2015, they co-founded Ceres Robotics, specializing in capital equipment liquidation and resale services for robotics systems. Merritt also pursued a Master's degree at Carnegie Mellon University, focusing on developing a mobile ground robot and manipulation system for the automated phenotyping of bioenergy sorghum. Their career further advanced at Plenty, Inc, where they worked as a Senior Robotics Engineer. In 2018, they became a Co-Founder of Pattern Ag, involved in developing a recommendation and product discovery platform utilizing genomics, robotics, and agronomic data to improve farm profitability. Merritt continued to advise Pattern Ag after becoming an MBA Candidate at MIT Sloan School of Management in 2019. From 2020 to 2021, they worked as an Associate at LDV Capital, a venture fund investing in visual technology businesses. Currently, Merritt Jenkins serves as the CEO and Co-Founder of Kodama Systems.
Merritt Jenkins attended Radnor High School for their secondary education. They then went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Environmental Studies from Dartmouth College in 2010. Following that, Merritt pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth, which they completed in 2012. Merritt continued their education at Carnegie Mellon University from 2015 to 2017, where they obtained a Master's Degree in Robotics. Finally, they attended the MIT Sloan School of Management from 2019 to 2021, earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Finance, General.
