Alex Romelfanger has worked in a variety of roles in the engineering and technology fields since 2012. Alex'sfirst role was as a Software Quality Intern at Cygna Energy Services in 2012. In 2014, they became a Training Media Editor at Dolby Laboratories. In 2016, they worked as a Mechanical Engineering Co-Op at Panasonic R&D Company of America. From 2017 to 2020, Alex worked at FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles as an Electric Motor Calibration Engineer and Quality Engineer. Currently, they are a Senior Vehicle Integration Engineer and Vehicle Integration Engineer at Kodiak Robotics, where they lead cross-functional teams to integrate new features into the platform, debug issues, and mentor engineers. Alex also enjoys being hands on and has personally fabricated and repaired harnesses and carried out repairs when needed.

Alex Romelfanger began their educational journey at Diablo Valley College from 2011 to 2013. Alex then attended the University of the Pacific, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering between 2013 and 2017. Following that, they earned a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Wayne State University between 2017 and 2019.
