Larry Ledoux

Larry LeDoux, Ph.D., serves as the Superintendent for the Kodiak Island Borough School District since March 2017, bringing extensive educational leadership experience. Prior roles include Consultant for KIDSS from January 2011 to January 2016 and Commissioner for the Alaska Department of Education and Early Development from July 2008 to December 2010. Larry previously held the Superintendent position at Kodiak Island Borough School District from July 1997 to June 2008, along with serving as the Principal of North Star Elementary School. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Technology and Indigenous Studies from the University of Alaska Fairbanks (2009-2012), an Education Specialist degree in Leadership/Alaska Native Studies (1983-1984), and a Master of Arts in Education/Biology (1977-1978) from the same institution.
