Björn Radu

Björn Radu has extensive experience in the event management industry. Björn currently holds the position of Vice President Technical Event Organisation at Koelnmesse GmbH since July 2021. Prior to this role, they worked at Leipziger Messe GmbH as the Executive Director of Technical Services & Infrastructure from November 2018 to July 2021. Before their work at Leipziger Messe, they were the owner of Trialog Planungsteam GmbH from 2000 to October 2018. Björn has also held various important positions in major events such as the Deutscher Katholikentag in Münster and Leipzig, where they served as the Head of Planning & Technology. Björn has expertise in technical event management, venue coordination, technical planning, and security concepts. Björn Radu's work experience also includes important projects like the Papstbesuch Erfurt in 2011 and the Rheinland-Pfalz-Tags in Pirmasens and Ingelheim.

Björn Radu earned a Diplom-Ingenieur (Dipl.Ing.) degree in Bauingenieurwesen from the University of Stuttgart between 1990 and 1996. In 2007 to 2008, they furthered their education by studying at the Eventakademie Baden-Baden, where they obtained a degree in Meister für Veranstaltungstechnik (IHK) with a specialization in Bühne und Studio.
