Ariane Bankes

Ariane Bankes has extensive experience in the arts and literature sectors, holding key positions such as Prize Administrator at The Biographers Club, where responsibilities include overseeing prestigious biography prizes. As Artistic Director of the Dovedale Arts Festival, Ariane collaborates with Mark Chichester-Clark to curate diverse cultural events. A Deputy Chair of Trustees for Koestler Arts, Ariane focuses on arts provision and strategic operations. Previous roles include curatorial positions at Pallant House Gallery, Literary Advisor for the Buxton Festival, and Senior Editor at V&A Publishing. Ariane holds a Master’s Degree in History of Art from The Courtauld Institute of Art and a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology from Durham University.
